And on what legal ground do they have that
right? A mere use of the GPL'd code doesn't
make the rest of the program (which is nothing
but a collection of modules/subroutines) a
DERIVATIVE of those 100 lines of GPL'd code
if that portion can be replaced by a "clean
room" implementation. I say that all you
need to do is to state the availability of
the GPL'd source code for THAT PORTION of the
program to comply with the unclear and
ambiguous terms of the GPL for the entire
program, CD-ROM, "image", "executable", and
whatnot.
