I was laid off from Rochester, MN (STG division) today. Actually, I was "notified" that I was "redeployed" - I got my "Notified Redeployment Information" packet today - find another job in 30 days, or else.
2 regular employees out of 19 in my dept were laid off (me and someone else). Contractors and 'supplementals' will also be laid off (some already have). I don't have numbers outside of my dept. I knew it was coming, as I had been training a guy in IBM India for several months now, to work on the chunk of software that I used to own "solo". I even had my desk cleaned out as of 2 weeks ago. IBM sucks. "India, Brazil, and Managers". Rating :
