Not only that. XLNX is negotiating with TSMC to manufacture their next generation chips. If they announce their partnership, XLNX will easily make 68% on gross margin. XLNX gross margin is in low 60s % because they are using lame fabs like UMC and Samsung. ALTR already enjoy high 68-70% gross margin because of TSMC. It looks like TSMC going to monopoly foundry business as they kill SMIC and UMC.
