A nice jump in the stock today, let's hope it continues to rise. A good jump in the stock price always helps the powers that be relax. And hopefully they will leave the AM's alone.
There are still a lot of good account managers working very hard on a daily basis (and in fairness,some who aren't) in a sometimes form before function environment, which can make doing their job very difficult. There is a lot of ill will towards Big Red, some well deserved, some not. Regardless, if Grainger does well, at least be glad for the reps that work hard and deserve their paychecks. Anyone in upper management that makes the unfair/ignorant decisions are usually weeded out. Eventually. Look at Bakosh and Broom for example. If their stupidity doesn't get them, then their arrogance will. Just think karma. If you don't get karma, watch My Name is Earl.

I spent 10+ years at Grainger in sales in the Chicago area so
I do speak from experience. Fortunately, I was treated fairly my entire time there. I had good DSM's and RSVP's. When I decided I didn't want to do the sales thing anymore, they were very supportive and no bridges were burned. So, no anger or bitterness.

So, think what you want about the company, but don't take it out on the AM's that show up for work everyday.
