Since retiring four years ago my health insurance has gone up from $55.00 when working to $743.00 January 1, 2010 . Every year Weyerhaeuser has increased Retirees insurance by 60% to 70%. Soon Weyerhaeuser insurance benefits will be a thing of the pass for everyone working or not , including the idiot Ole Dead Head .Most of my increase is caused because my spouse is not of age for medicare .
Not only did we retirees get the news about the health insurance increase . Weyerhaeuser sank to the bottom of the barrel with this notice.Effective January 1,2010 Weyerhaeuser will no longer pay for retirees death benefits and all retirees will no longer have death benefits through Weyerhaeuser . You would think Weyerhaeuser would at least give it's retired people a chance to carry on their policy . They should care less about it's retirees . When they get through kicking us around , watch-out .The ones who are still working are going to get hammered more than ever , except the idiot Ole Dead Head who has a open door to Uncle Dan's office .
I thought you guys would like know whats going on with the senior people who are retired .Good luck to the ones who are nearing retirement Although my career is management , I would advise any labor unions to go for long contracts to protect what they get for as long as they can .
