Or Better yet should Westell be talking to Cisco?...After looking into this further, I'm completely surprised that we never hear any mention of Westell when talk about Cisco and it's continual appetite for acquistions.

Basically Westell seems to be in all the sweet spots that Cisco likes which is a greater push into telecom, the home market and audio video teleconferencing.

In this market of consolidation that appears to be starting up again this just looks like a no-brainer for the management at Westell.....When you see the kind of money and valuation that Cisco is putting on some of these latest deals does Westell management really have any choice but to be calling John Chambers and Cisco.

I've said recently and in the past that Adtran is a great fit for Westell and I believe that works for a deal where Adtran has about $500 million in sales buying a Westell with $200 million...That would be a good combination.

But if your looking bigger, to a company with deeper pockets and ambitions then I think you have to look at Cisco who has made it no secret that they have cash to burn and alway iterested in a deal where they can grow their vision.

Cisco is paying 3 times sales for Tanberg....Their paying 7 times sales for Starents $254 million in annual sales....I would have to think that there has to be some kind of deal in there for a company like Westell trading at 40% of sales or slightly above cash.

Time for Gilbert and Cooper to find a deal top get this company sold.....There is no reason at this point to be trying to grow this company when companies like Cisco or out there throwing billions around to buy companies big and small....Westell should fit in nice with Cisco...I think they just need to make the call...All just my opinion.
