I am on the verge of making my first stock purchase soley with dividend investing in mind. Seems like a way to solidify my portfolio for long term conistency and growth.
I think I have widdled down my decision to 2 or 3 companies. WR and SO are the top two with Heinz as a third option. SO has been paying a dividend for a VERY long time and just has a hugely proven track record. WR seems very solid, stable, and consistent. The stock price doesnt move much which doesnt bother me at all. It actually seems like a good way to continue to add to my quantity of shares. Any thoughts or suggestions you can add as I compare and contrast WR and SO? Or anything for the first time dividend investor. thanks Rating :
