With losses of ($1,012.00)/unit in 1Q; then ($521.00)/unit in 2Q; then ($284.00)/unit in 3Q...WNC can never reach the break even point. If they keep getting half way to break even every quarter, they will never be able to produce a trailer for a profit (Zeno's Paradox).

They can not do anything to improve their position because they already have pulled out all the stops. In fact they are losing ground on getting to profitability. They made a 48.5% improvement from 1Q to 2Q and then only made a 45.5% improvement from 2Q to 3Q.

They should have been making more than 50% improvement gains while they were utilizing all the easy "low hanging fruit". The big improvements are now behind them and they still do not know what their operating costs are and where they should be setting their price points.

Even if they do manage to pull out a 65% improvement for 4Q, they still lose ($100.00)/unit. They can not improve without a complete overhaul of the corporation...starting at the top. Check out the salaries at this company and figure out what percentage of a trailer gets eaten' up keeping the cats fat.
