Throw out your economics textbooks. They are outdated in the reverse universe we now live in. Prior to now, if a stock moved from the teens to the seventies while experiencing declining sales and earnings, as the PE increased and the yield fell, any economics prof would would tell you that the stock would tank. And up to now that would be the case. But today investing has left the building to be replaced by momentum trading and idiotic fund managers who missed the big rally and are buying everything in a futile attempt to look better than they should when the end of the year arrives. This can't last long.It is irrational. Watch out for Whirlpool in 2010.
