I have seen messages referring to these two subjects. I can only tell you what my co-driver and I have experienced.NEVER have we had a problem with home time. I think one key element is to try and have a good relationship with your Fleet Manager. Go about the request the proper way and there should be no problem.
We drive a dedicated route for Conway. Our "short week" is 4100 miles. Our "long week" is 6200 miles. We also have 8 or 9 days of home time every month. Our pay is not bad and getting better. $600 take home on the short week and $900 on the long week. Also, the mileage bonus kicks in after 17,000 miles. Once a month, we get a nice bonus.
Maybe a lot of the gripers should look at themselves and not the Company for problems encountered.
