People being laid off from jobs they are more qualified for are having to make do with fast food jobs. Highly qualified corporate management is now managing restaurants. Hiring is a picky and competitive process and no longer is it necessary to give these jobs to anyone that can stand upright. Lower paying employers are calling the shots and their workers' bluffs as well. Work hard, work well, or get fired.
