Here's The Bottom Line On VZ 2-Nov-09 11:52 am

This stock was trading at $63 a share 10 years ago.

Today it trades at $29 1/2.

Simple math calculates to a decline in share price of 53 % over 10 years.

If you want to blame that on unionization, knock yourself out.

This company makes billions in profit every year and their executives collect millions in annual bonuses.

Union members have to strike to get pay raises that don't even keep up with the cost of living increases.

If you want to try to convince yourself that it's unionization, not mismanagement, that is dooming this company, your kidding yourself.

These high-paid telecom geniuses have taken a thriving telecommunications monopoly, and over a 10-year period, turned it into a strugging soon-to-be also ran.

If you can look in the mirror with a straight face and say that it's unionization, not mismanagement that has destroyed this company, then I can only guess that you voted for Bush, both times.
