A decline in production from 25,000 to 21,500 BOPD in 90 days is quite significant. (3,500/25,000 = 14% in 1 quarter or at a yearly rate of 56%)
If the decline is because of pump or paraffin problems it is not a big deal. If it is the result of water encroachment, it is a very big deal. In either circumstance, new reserves have to be acquired sooner than later either by purchasing reserves or by drilling successful wells.
