Bottom line is that Vivus continues to be the short seller's bitch and this continues to be a market of traders not investors.

Fundamentals remain strong. Vivus in charge of Qnexa a weight loss drug designed to serve an epidemic population of obese Americans. Results were outstanding removing any doubts regarding efficacy and proving vivus to be the lead horse in the small cap biopharm race in obesity. Most important was that safety issues so often used by the shorts/naysayers were proven to be blown way out of porportion. Worse effect found on the high dose of Qnexa was 0.9% cognative problems whereas the same dose in high dose Qnexa and up to 200mg Topiramate alone produced 3 to 4 times higher cognative effect for this already approvaed FDA drug!

Vivus traded up to $7.18 in August before releasing the stellar phase 3 Qnexa results. Yesterday Vivus traded below that $7.18 level. IMO this is completely pathetic and if it weren't for the manipulation of the short position vivus would be at +$10 or above the placement price of $10.50 today!

We will just have to be more patient and wait for the announcement of the NDA filing before year's end followed by a marketing partnership deal hopefully early next year. PPS should be double from today's pathetic short manipulated levels once those milestones get met.
