Advertisers can get slammed with fines up to $11,000 if bloggers and social media users endorsing products fail to follow FTC guidelines. Here is Revenews article:

I am not sure how this will affect VCLK. If they require merchants to police all of their affiliates, then one could see major blood letting at CJ; However, if the FTC gives the wink to formalized affiliate relations through a third party, then it might bring more merchants into CJ's arms.

I don't think we will know the impact until we see who the FTC goes after first.

This new push by the Obama administration to regulate merchant/blogger relations might have a grave impact on the value of VCLK.
