Societies that are incapable of learning just keep repeating the same mistakes. The root mistake was allowing the formation of the Federal Reserve.

"The 1920s were marked by the brave new era of the Federal Reserve system promoting inflationary credit expansion and with it permanent prosperity."

Of course, this promise was a lie, ending with credit crisis and banking collapse.

Eighty years later, we are still listening to same Federal Reserve fairy-tales. America's political class is excruciatingly dull-witted.
