I dont think we are watching the end of the middle class, but more of a change in the middle class. All the high energy demand activities and recreation are going to slow. So less big cars and other things that use energy. I might add we are still seeing a bargain oil price in north america, and we might not be paying the true price for oil. If all the "extra" costs that the government takes on to ensure cheaper oil were paid for the price of oil would be much higher. Perhaps the European price at the pump is a more true cost?
