The threads continue forever Gold Up!, Gold Down!

Personally I could careless if Gold is Down this morning and up this afternoon or visa verse.

I know where the price going and I'm not playing Gold Options.

I plan for the known future, and only play CRAPS on my annual trip to Las Vegas.

We all know Rob Mckwen's view on the future price of Gold. $2,200 by the end of 2010 and $5000 between 2012 and 2015.

He's stated $2,200 by the end of 2010 for years, so that should be no surprise to anyone..

But others are starting to go out on that same Oak Tree Limb.

* Hedge fund manager David Einhorn, the man who predicted Lehman Bros' collapse, just bought gold for the first time.
Why the sudden rush to gold?

Citibank analysts John Hill and Graham Wark see gold at $1,000 an ounce by year's end, then, they say, gold looks to "double to triple in the long term."

Adam Hamilton of Zeal Intelligence sees gold soaring to $5,000 an ounce and more in the next 5 to 7 years.

* Peter Monk, chairman of $31.56 billion Barrick Gold, reveals, "I have had more phone calls in the past six months, from people who have $120,000 inherited from grandmother, and from hedge fund managers with millions."

* John Paulson, the investor who made billions by pegging the housing bust and credit crisis, just shelled out $1.3 billion for an 11% piece of AngloGold... adding to his gold position (he also has a big stake in Kinross Gold.

I hate using a advertisement link, but good quotes from solid names are hard to find and facts are facts, and since I began posting on investment threads in 1996, I always try to show references to facts presented, a habit or trait I have for better or worse and Habits are Hard to Break and Trust is Hard Earned.
