UTSI has become worthless. In the last ten years it was often an indisputed leader of new solutions for lucrative markets in China and Japan. The problem since Blackmore and his gang took the helm is what seems like a series of bad decisions and flip flops in product and market strategy, the main example is IPTV and IP surveillance for China, an observer last year would have called UTSI an IPTV company. Has anyone seen an IPTV financial report from the comapny? I suspect not! Now everyone is getting excited about a few PTN contracts, I like to know how much they spent in R&D on this new product and how much they forecast in sales for PTN in the next year, getting such clear answers from Blackmore this week is next to impossible. UTSI no longer a leader in any market segment, while the giants of the industry are aggressively competing for a shrinking business makes this company worthless and destined only for a quick demise, soon after Blackmore and gang squeeze the last drops of the company cash in their golden handshakes.
