Better start looking for your life preserver. Today there's a Mass Department of Public Utilities hearing on Unitil's request to defer a 12 Million charge for ice storm damages until next year. They're hoping everyone will have forgotten all about the Dec 2008 ice storm by then. Word has it the Attorney General's office will be testifying at the 2:00 PM meeting at South Station in Boston along with a cast of characters from "Get-rid-of-Unitil" a North Central Mass Group that favors MUNIs over IOUs. So better act fast, I've heard Unitil doesn't have enough life boats to go around. They sold most of them to pay for executive bonuses and investor dividends.
