This has a higher short ratio than home builders. More than 50% is held by few large shareholders who are not likely to sell.
I do realize that the housing market will remain in limbo for a few years but the housing starts have stabilized and population is still growing. USG's revenues (unlike homebuilders) are not affected by house prices. Can anybody (or shorts) explain why this stock, after having fallen by 30%, is still loved by the shorts? Rating :
