Lets face it when you decide to turn a wrench or drive a truck for the rest of your life you have settled. You have decided to go through life being medicore and that is ok if you can handle it.

The problem becomes after years of being a blue collar you see your peers moving up in the world and it bothers you. All of a sudden you need more money to keep up with the Jone'es but your stuck with your GED so you need your employee to pay you more money so you can keep the self respect.

Only problem is that the job you do can be done by almost anyone and as a result is really not worth much. In the end your demand for more money destroys the company you work for and you are left out on the street.

People that decide to be blue collar workers should except the fact that they will be paid low wages but that will never happen. The bankruptcy cycle will repeat itself over and over and the mediocre blue collar workers will never understand why they ended up without a job.
