Having been a strong AIB supporter (and big time loser) I have switched my allegiances to the bank which has been my personal bank for 25 years and charged me through the nose for every dam transaction, statement, late settlement etc

As a speculative gamble (words chosen carefull) this is the surer bet for the Irish banking system- I do believe we're talking monopoly money here once the whole post NAMA/ECB/Rights settles down. EVen now in the depth of the worst recession in most peoples's living memory, post bubble (not even just post top of the cycle), unemployment near 15%, taxes plummeting etc etc, BOI manage to cream a billion in net profits from all of us poor suckers in just 6 months so let me see 2bn normalised profits in a bad year and a USD2,5b market cap (yeah yeah there are bad loans but sure isnt that for the taxpayer and EU to pay for)

Rollercoaster here we come (pullback due in short term I would think)
