Titan is my largest long position. Trades at just 11x forward earnings despite strong growth since IPO. While there is execution risk with their growth via acquisition strategy, they have a strong balance sheet and are in a space (agg construction equip) that could grow significantly over the coming years. With credit markets re-opening, buyers are able to finance new purchases again, which helped them post strong earnings in the most recent quarter.

This seems like a nice buy and hold, cheap long with god growth prospects.

However, I noticed that a huge percentage of the company's float is held short. Why is that? What is the bear case here? I just want to know to make sure I'm not missing something big. Usually companies that have that much short are usually highly overvalued or have terrible balance sheets or are in an awful business, etc. Does not seem to be the case here.

Does anyone know what I'm missing here, if anything?
