Sarnia EO is long gone, along with Dow Sarnia. TransAlta now owns the property. La Glycol 1 is as you state. The Fort EOEG is still running and is now part of the Dow/MEGLOBAL 50:50 JV. I have been out of Dow since 1993 and too much water has gone under the bridge for me to make a profound statement regarding today's company strategy. I sold out at $50 and have moved on. I did work with many UCC and ROH engineering folk in the past. At that time, they too were manufacturing orientated and they both had excellent people. Both companies at that time seemed very similar and we shared safety technology through the AIChE. In today's Dow, I would feel like a fish out of water. I'll publish my Z-Score when the 09 Annual data has been filed. So far, refinancing looks like they might just squeak it out. Wouldn't that be a shocker? Rhaw Rating :
