Given the current environment, why wouldnt insiders want to sell at the right price? The company absolutely needs the money to further develop the product as well as remaining safely under the capital requirements which are going to be raised on broker dealers. A well capitalized institutional partner could use a combination of cash and stock and gain a proprietary front end, the ability to self clear, some clients and a fledgling prime brokerage division. They could also sell off the retail division to a Schwab or Ameritrade... it would be a much quicker and cost effective solution than building it out on their own.... i'd like to see a Jefferies or Knight step up to the plate...
