Just looking at the state code, http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504....
the State Water Commission has two nonlegislative citizen members appointed by the Governor. Gov. Gilmore appointed Bob in 2001 for a four-year term. They meet in Richmond several times a year. It just seems strange to me that while Bob was very busy building TowneBank in 2001 that he wanted to take the time to drive to Richmond for meetings ... UNLESS he was planning to eventually run for Governor! Rating :
