From 3rd Qrtr 08 to 3rd Qrtr 09 the company grew net sales by $1.8% or $800K and their Net Loss decreased from -$1.4M to -$0.5M or $900K. However in '08 they took an after tax charge of $1M related to the planned severance related to the new bakery, apposed to '09 inwhich the apparently reversed part of this charge off - resulting in a $400K benefit to Net Income. So if you add back the $1M in '08 the Net Loss would have been -$400K, and if you reduce the '09 results by the $400K benefit the Net Loss would increase to -$900K.

So this means that the company added $800K in Net Sales, but lost an additional $500K from the actual business operations.
