Our friends in Ireland probably haven't noticed but we've had a little problem with publicly traded companies keeping their financial records and balance sheets straight on this side of the pond.

After watching the Christopher Cox deaf-dumb-blind performance at the SEC, the Obama Administration is looking for ways to put a little more discipline into the system. One of those steps was today's announcement that publicly traded companies with market cap's below $75 million will soon need to comply with the full range of Sarbanes Oxley regulations.

One of the ROI's of Trintech's suite of financial software is helping CFO's accurately track internal numbers to comply with Sarbanes Oxley.

How competitive Trintech's software is in this niche or whether the SEC announcement will generate additional business is well beyond the understanding of an apple grower.

Hopefully it will prove to be a tail wind and at a minimum shouldn't hurt business.
