Book value is a pretty irrelevant data piece when analyzing defense stock.

Look for geopolitical tension (iran, iraq, *istan, nkorea, venezuela, hamas, hezbollah, oil and gold) and macro themes (troop levels, enlistment, NASA, law enforcement trends, etc) to have a much larger impact on earnings and earnings multiples.
