First blush on the q3 results...

Well, it looks about like expected as per this thread start last night. Lead mgmt going really well (qoq growth was 29%, even if last year's q included a crunched September); non-special [cto] "crossing solutions going well (unfortunately, this is close to generic business and has lower margins than does the laser competencies); atherectomy (i.e., laser competency/PAD incl TB2) down 3% (DOWN 3%). That was the part growing >40% for ~8 or so q following the secondary, and once touted as ~"going to grow at twice the market", then "at the market" and now... sigh. Also less than exciting is the laser placements. If I were on the BOD, I'd be pushing for some reorg, too.

All in, no surprises here. It seems clear mgmt needs to figure out how to grow atherectomy (maybe TB2 is going better than apparent, but that remains to be seen) and get to legit and sustained profitability before the stock will recover back to the highs seen in 2007. In the meantime, getting the doj/fda out of there will hopefully add back at least the $1-$2 likely still discounted in the shares.

Still, they are trading at a discount to 2x 2009 sales, and just maybe they will have something inspiring to say on the call re isr and tb2.
