The rev consensus is for $28.5m for q3 per ibes, in a range of $27-30m. Rev for 09 is pegged at $114m. Ergo, this stock (on ~34m FD shares) is trading tight to 2x sales -- a 50% plus big discount to recent 4-5x sales deals by Medtronic, STJ and other deals in CRM and another handful or so of other relevant deal comps.

The Stiffel Nicholas report dated yesterday re DOJ/FDA investigation resolved by year end is also telling, as is his refreshed "comfort" with his own rev estimate for q3 and the year. While I disagree with Emile's investigation discount (sic "overhang") comment as per a thread here 3 months ago, and i also believe the Stiffel guy's take that it will drive a meaningful bounce is wishful thinking (I think the ~$3-4 the raid took out of the stock is already back in on Emile's comfort and the various FDA filings since), it is easy to imagine at least another buck pop (however fleeting) on actual news.

Although most of the shorts have covered in these days (note the paid basher twit is gone), those remaining short are taking the fool's bet imo.

That said, it won't surprise me to see mgmt still twirling batons on the atherectomy front, incl my hunch that the TB2 uptake is going less than thrillingly... but lead mgmt is likely still going well (Cook Medical gaining dr mindspace and share, but the laser is purportedly great at most of these appl), and the recent filing for in-stent restenosis lasing is something only SPNC can do.

On that note, the fact that they filed for FDA approval of the retinol stent lasing makes a mockery out of the Schlesinger's bs conspiracy claims on that -- I hope he enjoys himself in the Artic Winter career assassination he created for himself.
