not sure what your point is here, but ev3 atherectomy numbers are flat as well. Despite all their arm waving over the last two years, atherectomy growth is flat for them (vs down one would conclude from your transcript excerpt). ev3 had a $1.6m charge slamming that atherectomy number, so adjusted, they were just ~$200k positive at ~$21.2m.

ev3's story in atherectomy is about like spnc's over the last 24 months: ~"Although competitors product offerings and promotions encourage our clinician users to try other products as they come up, we think our existing product line up is the best for pad and cto and our new, super duper deluxe imporved version will rule the day as we launch it." While shorting these stories seems unwise, the new buysiders following along aren't impressed with the promises they've repeatedly heard. imo it really is all about execution, and the shares are in a big snowdrift until mgmt extricates them with sustained performance/profitability.
