Fannie Mae 15 Billion Dollar Loss      5-Nov-09 08:11 pm
Copied from AUY message board

"Yet another wonderful headline that confirms a recovery, right? How is it that banks can post profits while the institutions now controled by the government keep racking up huge losses? The answer is simple, they were taken over on purpose to give banks a back door from which they can dump toxic mortgages on the taxpayer who will have to absorb all the losses.

I refinanced by mortgage on 9/24 which was originally from Countrywide which is now BAC. I got a letter last week that my mortgage had been sold to Fannie on 10/16. Why did BAC sell the mortgage to Fannie? Why is Fannie buying mortgages that are barely 3 weeks old? My interest rate is 4.5%, I bet BAC doesn't want to hold a note at such low interest for fear of rising rates.

Why does the government continue to allow banks to sell their mortgages to the taxpayer? Someone should be asking questions as to how many mortgages that are in default were purchased since the government took control. I bet you will find that banks have dumped a good chunk of their sub par loans on FRE and FNM.

Yet another scam to transfer the losses that Wall Street keeps racking up on the taxpayer. Wall Street gets to keep all their profits and dump off the garbage on the taxpayer.

There is no end in sight to this scandal created by Hank Paulson and Ben Bernanke. The Wall Street pigs are going to bonus themselves while the taxpayer keeps chocking on more and more of their toxic assets. It is time to audit FRE and FNM, find out where these bad loans came from and who is facilitating the dumping of these loans on the GSE's.

Nothing but fraud and lies, day after day and no one even asks questions. I guess this is the new normal, right? So go ahead Barney, explain this one to the American people."
