The answer is YES it does.
Don't listen to folks like jeye who are only here to satisfy his racists fews and continue to blame TM for GM's demise. As someone who at least knows a little something about automobiles in general. All I did was post a Toyota web site, that I had nothing to do with. Toyota was the blame for it. Be a man and admit that Toyota isn't prefect.

Blue_Mountain1, I only wanted to know if the Prius has air conditioning, and the website that was posted answered my question. I own three gasoline powered Toyota branded vehicles, and I love to drive them all. It is likely I will never sell/trade them, because they are so reliable even when one of them is very old. So my post was not a plant. I asked the question, because I read this 3rd generation Prius ad in which it highlights a solar assisted A/C. When I read the caveats, I became suspicious that the Prius A/C in non-3rd gen versions might not have A/C. That is why I asked the dumb guy quesion. I assume I could get an answer on this board, and I did. As you may have noticed, I don't think I have ever posted on this board prior to yesterday.

Thanks for taking the time to clarify. You have to admit it odd that you thanked a guy that didn't really answer your question. All the resident TM board Spammer Basher did was post a site about complaints. Even though there are an order of magnitude more complaints about Ford and GM.
Edmunds and kbb.com are both there for basic information. What you get here is mostly biased opinion. The Bashers are all ex big 3 employee's and the rest are car consumers who know better. Thanking a guy for such a negitively biased answer to a simple question seemed strange. Rating :

Also, you specificaly asked about gen 3, and he posted gen 2. What's up with that? Not that it matters. The Toyota dealers are virtually sold out of gen 3's. There are however plenty of Ford and GM Clunkers being stored temporarily on their lots. They're coming in faster than they can be hauled off. Rating :

PRIUS has a combination heater / "Air Conditioner" which is actually a small heat pump. It is marginal and UNBELIEVABLY expensive to repair! If it needs to be replaced out of warrantee cost ranges from $6500.00 to $8000.00!

the US of A is the O N L Y developed nation on earth withOUT a universal health care systema and I see fellow Americans bitching at our President's initiative to give us Universal health care? Are we stoooopid? Hello!!!!! over 16% of Americans are WITHOUT health coverage.... we should be celebrating at what Obama wants to give all Americans!
