There isn't much Rosconi can say that would sooth shareholders. I don't think we will see $6 for a while. Regardless, we have to consider that prior to TH announcing their independent market research that estimated the market for tesamorelin to be fairly significant, TH jumped to $4 after their first clinical trial results were announced. TH was trading at $1.45 in July 2006, 5 months before they even released results of their study. The fact that we hit a low today of $1.60 is amazing for shareholders who can hold on for 12 months. No company can survive a difficult market.

Try to wait as long as you can. As I hear it, a lot of investors are angry and are venting their anger in the $2.00 range. There apparently is a backlog of sell orders. They wish to punish TH and move on to something more promising in the short term. Maybe by next week, we will see the $2.50 range.

Target prices will not be more than $5 for the next 10 months. The only news that investors will likely see asides Quarterly results is the NDA filling, NDA classification and then late 2009 approval. Therefore we will not see any real significant catalysts until approval in late 2009. Taking this into consideration the stock will likely remain underpressure in the near-term.
I disagree. The overall deal that they signed with Merck was a good long term deal. The unfortuneate part was that it was negotiated at the expense of shareholders. I believe that once the analyst see the value of the agreement that they will actually upgrade their outlook and raise long term expectations. There will continue to be some selling through Friday. I expect that research reports will be updated by next week and the share price will slowly increase...just not fast enough. Wouldn't it be nice for Rosconi to put out a press release or maybe grant an interview in which he speaks more freely about the upside?

The market was expecting an announcement that had more substance. Management dissapointed. Therfore, the interest in the stock has narrowed. Many hedge funds and institutional investors had already sold as the Strategic Review was taking so long. Those investors are none too eager to buy back as today's announcement was a non-event. The company basically gave up US distribution rights at a deep discount to what the rest of us had paid.

Agree, big letdown for investors. I wasn't shocked when they announced their intention to hold a conference call last night. They did the same when they announced results for both of their clinical trials and good news followed. (less so for the second trial). An equity investment at $4.73 is a huge discount to where it was shortly ago. Even with these market conditions I'm suprised they weren't able to strike a better deal.
I can't explain the share price either. We are trading below where we were 2 years ago prior to the first Phase III trial data being released (ignoring the 3.5 million share offer in Feb. 2008). Regardless, the market is clearly pricing in a very bearish scenario as the weak market conditions may hurt TH's chances of finding a buyer or partner. If that is the case, and considering TH has 18 months of cash resources available, they will have to raise additional funds shortly after expected commercial launch towards the end of 2009. Hopefully the process is finished soon (as management has stated previously) and also on favourable terms.

Does anyone have any insight as to the strategic Review process? I can understand that the company cannot say too much and they have re-affirmed that the process is ongoing and productive. However, it would appear as though the share price is tracking in a direction that contradicts the press release. Who is selling at such low prices and why? Especially since all the news appears to be positive. I would speculate that the institutional investors and those with margin calls would have been weeded out at quarter end. Average volume has dropped, but the share prices continues to erode. What can TH do help us shareholders that belive in the company but are left with a security that lacks support?

Yes the share sale during Thursday were on the behalf of clients but we do not know exactly how many clients sold. Clearly the market believes any potential bidder will have great difficulty, or won't be able to, finance a purchase. But I still have no explanation as to how TH can be trading below where it was trading prior to releasing positive results for their first trial in 2006.

BMO is the clearing house for the stock, those sales were on behalf on their clients. It is still disapointing, but their clients may be facing margin calls and need to liquidate a security that has less chance of increasing share value in the short term. Although today's comments were positive, I do not think that they went deep enough to give shareholders a warm fuzzy feeling. The drop off at the end of the day was too coincidental with the S&P rating of GM. Everything tanked. The real issue is why TH's share price did not rise more after the press release.

Also disappointing to see BMO and Canaccord the two large sellers today. Especially considering BMO is their strategic advisor.

How is this possible. Low of $2.01? Thats 25% lower than where TH was trading before they announced the results of their first clinical trial in December 2006. Comments issued today were certainly no help to calm investors.

Thanks for the input. I am hoping that with what appears as overwhelmingly positive news, that the company would issue a press release re-affirming the progress of the Strategic Review. The share price has suffered too much and it would seem clear that the drop is unnecessary.

I listened to his presentation at the UBS Global Life Sciences Conference and he confirmed again that the process was still active and ongoing. He confirmed that TH was in "advanced discussions" with a number of parties. He also said that they have made more data available for those companies and that, in terms of time remaining to complete the strategic review, that there are "many more months behind than there are ahead of us." A replay of the UBS presentation is available on their website. He discusses the strategic review in the last few minutes of the presentation. I don't have any information from the BioContact Quebec presentation. New low this morning of $2.91 is worriesome, but also makes the company attractive given it's low valuation.

Did any one hear any of Yves Rosconi's comments at the recent presentations? It would appear as though he confirmed that their are at least two companies that TH is accepting bids from. However, any additional info has been difficult to locate. The share price has behaved oddly based upon the knowledge that they are nearing the completion of their Strategic Review process. Share volume is all over the place, yet the share price has seen a new 52 week low. Any info or opinions are appreciated.

Of course.
I believe this Canadian company will be able to grow by itself and being a multi bagger for the shareholders.
The problem is that for more than 6 month we didn't get any information from the management about the way they plan to finance the production of its new product.
