Sims (SMS) is attractive for its income, its cheap valuations and for its growth potential.

Sims is therefore a good investment for its income alone.

And its valuations relative to earnings and book value are cheap. The price/earnings ratio is 6. The price/book ratio is 1.15. The return on equity is 20.4%.

The debt level is also reasonable making it a safe investment. The debt/equity ratio is 0.168 or 16.8% of equity.

And Sims is a growth stock to boot. It's in the re-cycling business, which has enormous growth potential. This company is already very profitable and is rapidly growing in both revenues and profits. As prices for metals rise and the price of fossil fuels used to manufacture those metals rise, re-cycling is sure to become more and more cost competitive with mineral extraction and conventional metal manufacturing.
