If we assume the numbers posted by the power that be; atleast 294,600,000 (Fort Knox and the New York Bank in Manhattan at least) ounces setting the current value to $321,114,000,000 ($1090). Would it not be in the interest of the US to increase the value of gold? I am most likely missing a lot here, but gold at $2000, $5000 would only improve the governments lending ability?
