Regardless of what you think of the company, a $7.5m stock buyback is going to drive up the price.

Average daily volume is 12k shares. Today 35k changed hands. Well 35k @ $2.30 is only $80,000 to handle 3x average daily volume. $7.5m is 93 days trading volume at that price.

But really, do you think that SLRY management is going to be happy with $2.30 per share? Heck, as recently as their big layoff in January, the stock was at $3.00.

$3.00 x 35,000 per day...let's call it $100,000 per day. $7.5m still lasts 75 trading days (about 3 and a half calendar months) at that price and rate.

Who'd short under those circumstances? In the short term, who'd sell?
