BIL is much safer than any mmf. Read a annual report of any mmf,even the government mmf are full of junk now as they tried to get a little extra yield. With BIL you don't get a $1 price but since it's very short term T-Bills the price does not move much. The prices slowly rises toward the x-date every month. If your parked cash is over the fdic limits this is the safest place to be.
