number They are making product for $2.20/watt at Devens. They expect to get to $2 there. That simply won't work. Moving the Modco to China will help. Not sure when and what the costs will be? Meanwhile Sovello has a $70MM writedown now, probably on the two older fabs. I don't see how the third (quad) will make money any more than Devens. That will be another circa $50MM write off. Another lurking problem/opportunity is Si costs. They are one of the few Si solars not to announce renegotiated prices. That will be another big loss, but would possibly bring their product costs more in line. They've got to stop building fabs that will not produce positive margins when fully up. Perhaps the China op will be the first.
