Wind and solar both make electricity for the fixed electrical grid.
Natural gas is abundant and cheap right now so electricity prices are going down because most electricity is made via natural gas.
Nobody will make a large capital investment into solar panels or windmills when their electric bill is low. Not a smart move in times like this (most people can't afford these things anyway).

Natural gas is great and clean too. The problem is getting a car, truck, plane or train locomotive to run on the stuff. Not a good "in the tank" fuel...not for another 5-10 years at least on the scale we need.


Making corn ethanol for fuel makes your gas go down 10 cents a gallon and your box of Corn Flakes go up $2.

Biomass is too difficult and will truly takes years.

As for other biofuels companies using Taco Bell grease drippings, their product sucks.

Syntroleum is bringing high-grade ultra-clean diesel(and jet) fuel to market within 6 months. It is no other American company can say that right now.

The best part is that the USAF is very interested in their product. Have you ever seen wehat the military pays for stuff?? Someone said they pay $10 a gallon for fuel in Iraq.

Coal is downright dirty. Hopefully Syntroleum will be big in the "clean coal" market. That would be enormous!!
