The very same bank funds receiving TARP dollars are speculating in this market instead of lending to joesixpac. In the meantime, those banks and bankers playing with tax money will go to jail hopefully, with light sentences imposed because they're actually doing their dirty deeds to the benefit of Ben, who rained that money on them in the first place to do just that, bolster the dollar against real money, silver and gold and other commodities, by not linking TARP to saving the real economy.

This ought to be really good as those banks unwind those positions, if they're smart.

Of course, they're paid to make money, not salvage the firm, nor are they paid to be smart.
