Add in the fact that the cellulosic ethanol and advanced fuels mandates are federal law to specific volumes by timeline and you pretty much get the idea of just how serious this all is. The nation has a big energy problem. Second, it's an even larger national security problem because we might not be able to secure enough oil to fight a world war. (let's hope we never revisit that) Last, our economy hinges on cheap, plentiful energy. Without that, we don't have a good economy.

That's why Minnesota is funding SunOpta's feasibility study along with BIPC and CMEC. Once the first commercial facility is built and operating, many more will come.
