I want to know why no one has been held accountable for this current mess the bank is in?

What heads have rolled?

If the economy ever improves this bank will return to profibility. But I dont want the same people who helped get this bank in its current situation still making decisions and that includes Jim Wells.

Banking is a risk business. SunTrust is NOT the Trust Company of Georgia whos customers were composed of Atlanta blueblood and the cities' biggest businesses. The bank stretches across 11 states and it customer base is very different from region to region.

The bank also is stuck in its regional mold. It is not really big enough to compete with mega banks like Chase, Wells, and BAC. And it is too large to serve as a local bank.

The only answer is to sell out, which wont happen any time soon, or merge with another regional.
