because i loved the con call this week.

no talk about lumpiness. no talk about slowdowns or customer configuration changes. no talk about "no pickup in ordering so far this quarter."

but here's what i did hear:

4Q09 redirector card sales increasing over 3Q09
4Q09 China sales increasing over 3Q09
record sales ahead if last year's forecasts are revived
SETAC with potential to quadruple sales at similar margins

all this for a stock that made $6mm in 2007, $5mm in 2008, and is currently trading at $9mm above cash.

i must be naive thinking i am so much smarter than the market here. but it's those massive spikes in 2000 and 2007 that make me think SILC might save me from my own stupidity.

plus, it's my favorite con call to listen to every quarter.
