P "rick"

Just 1 (or 2) more point.
You really don't get how the whole thing works do you!

<<<"But the cancer patient is looking from a different perspective despite your attempts to PR this Co. into viability. I believe a heartfelt HOW DARE YOU can be heard from the choir of inflicted cancer patients as they, and the soles of the departed are outraged at your myopic, financial agenda.">>>>>>

I buried a love one not that long ago for me to remember the hope and desperation for a possible cure. She died from Multiple Myeloma.

Just so you understand how the system works! Private money and the hope and anticipation of a big payday generate the necessary capital to fuel the exorbitant amount research needed to develop new treatments. Investor enthusiasm is a key component. It does go hand in hand with the herd mentality but if you’re implying there is no place for it, then you better hang your hopes on Comrade Obamas social agenda. Good luck with that.

<<<"Viable products will move this Co. forward or not. SGEN could be almond extract equivalent in its effectiveness or go the route of Mitomizonal. Interferon 1 AND 2 were touted as the next silver bullet">>>>

Just so you know, Interferon has been a god send to many people. You should stick to what you really know. I invested in ENZN throughout the 90's. Had 40K shares at $2. The stock hit $82. Myself and others would not have risked our cash without the enthusiasm generated by the stockholders. ENZN developed Peg Intron A with SGP. Roche bought pirated rights from Shearwater and developed Pegesys. The drug has a market of $3 billion (from last I checked) as a near cure for Hep C.
Second generation Interferon is a useful drug to stimulate the immune system as an additional co-treatment against some cancers.
