CHICAGO, Oct 29 (Reuters) - U.S. December hog futures rose 2 percent in electronic trading early on Thursday following news that China may soon lift its five-month-old ban on U.S. pork. [ID:nN29356378]
While China is not expected to be a major buyer of U.S. pork, because it is increasing its domestic supplies, analysts said the news was mildly bullish.
At 8:40 a.m. CDT (1340 GMT), CME December hogs futures were up 2 percent.
