Let's be clear on this: JQ projected full-scale kilometer length production of 2G HTS wire in 2012. The shorter lengths will be produced before - which will be used for motors, including wind turbines, fault limiters, etc. It is the longer lengths which will be used for electricity grid transmission lines.
My hunch is GE plans to employ HTS wire ASAP. They've already developed their MVA100 which is simply waiting for HTS wire - in much shorter lengths than a kilometer! 2010 will be a watershed year for STI. Sentiment : Strong Buy Rating :
