Sorry, you are totally wrong....they are already making tape with their current set-up...it just doesn't have the right recipe (technical performance characteristics) for the application. (See their presentation at the peer review). After they get the right recipe they want to see if they can make it in longer lengths (phase 2: 50-100 meter lengths with the right techinical performance...for the entire length....at that point they will have a process which is very close to a production process...but there will still be issues to iron out....hence phase 3....this will be a machine that can physically produce up to 1 km of tape....but there is likely to be some issues (process variance) which they will have to iron out ...the goal is a tape with consistent performance characteristics for the entire length of 1 km. So bozo..while you are close...it doesn't count....close only counts in horseshoes...and this isn't horseshoes....BTW if there is a hiccup....well expect it to take 4-5 years....JQ was being his usually over-optimistic self!
